Job situation for chartered accountants

your one effort may help thousand of students who are looking for job

I am from Chennai and job situation is very worst. One reputed bank is ready to offer job but it want First attempt guys only and ctc is Max 4 lakhs (Break up unknown). You have to work min 12 hours every day and you have to travel across tamilnadu frequently.

 

Jobs are available but profile is very bad. I am ready to join any organisation even for 4 lakhs provided job profile is reasonably good.

 

But at present i dont find job with good profile.

 

is the situation that worse guys?? That no job is available after so much hard studies? Is holding mere a ca degree not enough?

i was finding the same situations when i had left deloitte. i also remained idle for one month, then with God's grace, i have been selected in Andhra Bank as Dy. Manager-finance. i have many other friends who are still facing this problem. i thought, ICAI should take some initiatives and try to abate this situation..

The situations is worse only due to recessionary economy across whole world?

Hai guys! When I enquired about the job situation I was told by everybody that there are enough opportunities in abroad for Ca's. Moreover I contacted a reputed faculty. He told me that Recruitments will pick up in 2012 and very soon the salary of Ca's will increase in geometric progression! These were the responses that I got.

Moreover I was told that many of the students are not willing to join manufacturing companies. majority of fresh ca's are interested to go for financial services. After hearing that I feel that opportunities for Ca's in  india has reached a saturation point. But there is good news for them abroad! Especially when we merge our accounting practices with IFRS which is soon to happen.

Hey guys, pls anyone help me out. I stay at thane. I hv cleared my CA in nov 2010. Then i joined and Infrastructure co. But as such there was no work over there. I hv left the job in Nov 2011. I m unemployed from last 2 months. If there is job available for me in mumbai in diect tax profile in any CA firm pls let me know guys
