Partner's Salary shall be taxed u/h PGBP incase of Partner. It shall be same amount as allowed to partnership firm. Any part of salary disallowed to the partnership firm shall not be included in the income of Partners.

There wont be any proff tax thereon. No liability to deduct TDS

CA Ankur is wrong, Salary to a partner is Income from Business & Profession in the hands of the Partner & The amount is the actual amount recd,/ Provided ( BY the firm in the Books as on 31.03. for the year )  by the partner & No TDS or PT applicable on such amt. to be deducted by the firm. Coming one step ahead,as an extension to the quest & Ans Incase of the firm the firm will be allowed only such amount as deduction which is calculated & qualified as per provision of sec 40(b) ogf I T Act 1961. Also such remuneration/ salary is allowable to working partners only. Non working partners salary is not allowed. ( this answer stands good only acadamically) as in real practical working all partners are shown as working

If your question is from point of view of individual who is a partner then for him salary form firm will be classified under salary but no tax will be deducted as it is exempted

no tds or professional tax is to be deducted for the same.

it is partner's share in the firm's profit ,which is exempt u/s 10(2) ,Salary & interest recd by partner from a fim is taxable under the head business or profession.

Nuba & Ankur

Pls check your self & check the defination of Salary & salary / Remuneration to Partners, there is a difference.

Even from the point of view of an Individual, if he is a partner & gets salary from he firm its is taxable as Income from Business & proff in the hands of such Individual who is a partner in the firm from where he gets his salary. As for TDS you are right that there is No TDS deduction on such payments
