Yes you can file ITR1 directly from the website

login to incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in with your credentials and select ITR1 for AY 16-17 and fill up the details one by one and do not forget to save it fequently, in this case it will show TDS automatically picked up from 26 AS and challans if you have paid in advance or self assesment would also reflect, please do fill up your bank account details especially the one in which you need to get refund with IFSC code etc. finally submit the ITR1 online. afterwards please write down your acknowledgment no or you can e-Verify your ITR through online bank which allows you to e-verify and that completes the process and wait for ITR to be processed within a span of 15 to 25 days

"Quick e-File ITR- Quick Link" option is available to submit ITR-1 and ITR-4S without using XML file
