Quick Summary
If you've already filed your Income Tax Return (ITR) along with an audit report and have since received a notice under section 143(1), you may wish to declare additional income using an ITR-U. Generally, no specific explanation is required when filing an ITR-U to report missed income, especially if it could have been rectified by the auditor. The auditor can amend the audit report to include this additional income.

No need of any explanation.

Additional income if missed earlier under audit report, can be declared with rectification by auditor.

No explanation required.
