ITR revision, with form-67

Dear Sir,

I need to revise my income tax return (individual) for the AY 2019-20. Earlier, while filing original return, I've filled ITR-2, along with form-67 for foreign-tax credit.

The reasons for revision are:

1. To correct self-assessment tax challan number.

2. To update information in tab AL of ITR2   There is no change in the information mentioned in form-67 submitted in the original IT return.

Queries:

1. Do I need to submit form-67 again, while filing the revised return, or the previously (originally) submitted form-67 will hold good ?
2. Please suggest any other precautions to taken care while submitting a revised IT return.

If a ITR will be revise then the previous ITR (original) is Lapsed/ignored/Not in Force...
In continuation to Mr Raja's reply
you need to file revised return as if it's the original return with the all relevant details and forms afresh

Now that it is clarified that fresh form-67 has to be submitted online, as a part of the IT return revision process, I want to know where can I find the form-67 originally submitted by me.

Some how, I've lost the copy of the form-67 originally submitted by me.

LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT AT E-FILING PORTAL . CLICK ON E- FILE THEN GO TO INCOME TAX FORMS. YOU WILL FIND FORM 67 IN THE DROP DOWN MENU.

CBDT notified the procedure for submission of Form 67 under Income Tax Rule 116 relating to deduction for Foreign Tax Credit (FTC) for filing Statement/ Income Tax Return (ITR) by a Resident for Incomes from a Country or Specified Territory Outside India.

Form 67 is a pre-requisite document that has to be furnished in order to claim FTC by a taxpayer. It is also essential that it be furnished before tax return is filed. One can file revised Form 67 prior to filing the revised tax return in order to incorporate the changes in both the documents.

Very delighted to come across this useful article. It is a fact that for a a paid employee, this is one of the most crucial documents you will need to file your ITR.. Since I have gone through your blog and found it informative, I would be glad if you visit my blog and share your valuable comments : https://bit.ly/2Vrtmha
