As per my knowledge case may be taken to 143(3)

you don't have to worry if have disclosed all material facts & income in ITR.

but my father is retired official and a senior citizen and scrutiny can not be done on senior citizen person

143(3) is an autonomous process, it does not relate to senior citizen or retired status,

check your 26AS, you can be good to trace the reason to find the reason under AIR

i have claimed tds as reflected in 26as only....but still mismatch is reflecting there

maybe the amount on which TDS is claimed is not offered for tax calculation under income / receipt

I have offered same amount for income.....this is india no of organisations are dealing into black money.....and they are safely running their business and salaries class people who are earning just 20k have to face scrutiny......

Now what actions are required on my part....please advise so that i can do the same to avoid any hardship to my father

143(3) is a regular assessment procedure with documents, ( 143(1) is summery assessment) so if your records are correct, then produce the same to AO, after getting notice, they will make regular assessment, not much hardship for genuine persons
