ITR not filed
What if under section 142, I received a notice to file ITR within specified date and I didn't file it's within that date? can I file ITR after specified date?

Yes, provided ITO accepts the same....
can you please guide on how to respond in the compliance portal? Whethervi have to select reason for itr has not been filed as return under preparation?
