Itr amendment

Hello,

I have a query on ITR for AY 2013-14. When I filed this ITR, I missed to enter long term capital gains. Is there any provision to amend that ITR now? Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Deepak

Yes DC you can revise your return, and show the LTCG in it.

yes, you can revise your return and make all corrections in your last itr filed.

Thanks.

Can I also file amendment to ITR for AY 2012-13 for long term capital gains? If yes, can you point me to some publicly available text on internet? Thanks in advance.

Deepak

no.. revision for return of AY 12-13 is not possible now.. you could have done it till 31.03.14 only.

Thanks for your responses.

I understand that this is a tricky thing. I am exploring ways to achieve this. There should be way where somebody underreported taxes in past and wants to pay those taxes now.

In these cases, I understand there is no fixed answer for this situation. Do you think meeting local IT officer may be the correct approach?

Thanks

visiting AO is the only option left..... you can declare true income particulars when AO issues notice u/s 148 or 143(2)... but sometimes even after assessee's full disclosure, AO still keeps on harrassing just for an unreasonable bribe. so i will say that be prepared for that.

Thanks for your continued support. This is a very critical matter right now.

So AO can find ways to fix this. Have you seen such a case in past?

i havent personally seen... but there have been few cases in the office where i was articled clerk, and my boss CA looked after such cases and every case was properly settled after paying proper taxes and also bribe to AO.

Thanks a lot. Your phrase "every case" is a source of hope for me.

Have a good weekend!

thanx and same to you....
