Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether contract employees working in software development are eligible to file ITR 4 using presumptive taxation schemes like Section 44ADA. It confirms that contract employees can indeed file ITR 4 under Section 44ADA, calculating profits at 50% of gross receipts. The rebate under Section 87A for FY 19-20 (AY 2020-21) is also explained, stating it's £12,500 if total income is below £500,000.

Yes, you are eligible to file your Return In ITR4S
Sir, I will be filing under sec 44ad or 44 ae, and sir also what is the value of rebate u/s 87a for fy 19—20
You can file return of under sec 44ADA (computing profits and gains of profession on presumptive basis)

Rebate for A.Y. 2020-21 Is 12500 if your Total Income does not exceed Rs. 5,00,000.

Total income u/s 44ADA = 50% of Total Gross Receipts.

You can file ITR 4 u/s 44ADA with 50% of profit on Your contract receipt (income).
