Itr 4 or itr 4s

ITR 781 views 4 replies

I want to file my ITR for 2014-15 but unaware about which tax form to use. I have been an employee on contract(& my TDS has been deducated). Please advise me if I should go ahead for ITR 4 or ITR 4S.

Also please explain me what is the difference between the two.

Info Update: I have been issued Form 16-A

Help appreciated.

Simply file ITR-1 no need to file ITR-4 or ITR-4s

I sincerly apologize for not adding a peace of information. I have been issued a Form 16-A, which you must be knowing is issued to non-salaried employee(such as consultants) hence can not file ITR 1. Therefore I'm confused if I should file ITR 4 or 4s.

Thanks

ITR-4s i think you should file. but ask the employer to deduct the TDS under section 192 now onwards as it is not the business you are working under an employer.

My TDS has already been deducted accordingly I'm just going to file the return. Thanks a lot for your advise. Have a good day.
