ITR 3 EXCEL UTILITY ERROR

Remove the current utility completely. Delete the history & temporary files from your system. Check the compatibility of Java requirement on your system. It may require updating.

Download the utility again, extract it and check.

If problem persists, file grievance.

Wait for its new version. File grievance.

If ur PC running with ms office 2007. Then uninstall it and install ms office 2010 or above. This is the only way to solve this error. I was also suffering from this issue.

DEDUCTION UNDER SECTION 80TTB IS NOT CALCULATED IN ITR 3 EXCEL UTILITY.

I am also facing the same situation. I am a senior citizen and do freelance professional work, have capital gains too, tried filing ITR3 in online utility but there got stymied with an error [#/ITR/ITR3/ScheduleAMTC/ScheduleAMTCDtls:expected maximum item count:12, found:13] and the online utility as well as downloaded utility asks contacting the developer for this error. I raised the grievance but Income Tax deptt is sitting on it after an acknowldegment.

Then downloaded the Excel utility but I can't find 80TTB anywhere for taking 50,000 rebate on Bank Interest. These guys keep on revising the Income Tax rules every year, sometime twice. Any software needs a year or two to get the bugs rectified, but before that happens, the IT changes tons of things and then you just can't do anything except wait for them to rectify. 

I have been filing ITR myself for more than 30 years now but the problems that honest tax payers face has increased multifold in these last five six years. It is a total pathetic show by the FM and her team.
