Hello everyone, I need to cancel my GSTIN. I filed for cancellation and received a notice stating that I need to refund excess credit of 28000 that I availed. When I checked my profile, for fhe month of august the 3B showed excess of 30000 ITC in comparison to 2B.
Can you please tell me what can be the reasons for so and what docs do I need to check? Also what can be done in this situation.

Do the reconciliation between ITC availed and Form GSTR-2B. So will get to know on which invoices the amount of Rs. 30000 is excess availed.
If supplier didn't filed their return or haven't disclosed our invoice in their returns then follow up with the supplier.
Draft a reply containing the ITC reconciliation and submit it to your jurisdictional officer
