Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common GST query regarding claiming Input Tax Credit (ITC) before it reflects in GSTR-2A. While claiming ITC based on invoice date is generally permissible, the department may demand interest if your case is selected for scrutiny. It's crucial to be aware of Rule 36(4) limits, which restrict ITC claims to a percentage of the amount reflected in GSTR-2A, varying from 110% until December 2020 and 105% thereafter.

As such no....... but if your case is selected for scrunity the interest can be demanded by department on same.

Note : Moreover as per Rule 36(4)till December 20 you can claim 110% of eligible ITC reflected in your 2A , & from January onward it is 105% .

You can take ITC only to the extent appearing in GSTR2A and  in the month in which appearing so.
