ITC on motor vehicle
I am a trader and I want to purchase a mahindra pickup (motor vehicle for transportation of goods). I want to know that Am I eligible to book its ITC?

yes itc is available but be sure you register it as commercial vehicle in yellow plates and not private vehicle with white plates.

Generally ITC on Motor Vehicles is BLOCKED u/s 17(5) of the CGST Act 2017. But the Provision contains some exceptions. Transportation of Goods is one of them.
Hence claim GST ITC on Mahindra Pickup Van.

Yes. you can avail input credit but the vehicle must hai commercial registration.

Dear Manoj.,
No need to confuse for the vehicle to Transporter or Not...
If Vehicle using to transportation of goods as per above REPLIES then Purchaser can be avail ITC. It's not only to Transporter. It's available to any of the Company, Traders, Service providers and others....
