business promotion means to distribute free ...... then No

As per Section 17(5) of the CGST Act 2017, the ITC of Goods distributed as Free Samples is BLOCKED.
However, as said by Pankaj Sir, if used in the course of or furtherance of business, then Yes you can claim ITC.
