I have received many invoices in 2017 from my supplier in 2017 and utilised it in my GSTR3B fpr claiming ITC. But I recently found that some of the invoices were missing in my GSTR2A. I am facing audit by tax authorities and I am afraid they will make me reverse the ITC of the missing invoices.
Now, my question is,
(1) if my supplier upload those missing 2017 invoices in his GSTR1 of Feb, 2021, will it be reflected in my 2017 GSTR2A?
(2) If not reflected, does it mean I have to reverse the ITC and make payment along with interest?
If the same have been reported in GSTR 1 of Feb 2021 then you can take the credit now. But in 2017 you have to make the reversal and pay with interest if any liability arises due to this reversal.
