I am going to file itr-1 , but i would like to know, so i have got a digital signature and how will i use it?
and how will generate xml file in excel2007 and one more thing i would like to know , when we register with efilling on that time i get an option register Digital signature signature so what does it mean should i go with this or not and also tell me how do we sign the form with digital signature ,? before ganerating xml or after that tell me briefly i m first time user?

after filling the itr, u'l see an option Generate, clicking on which will generate ur XML file.
and yes.. u will have to register your digital signature for signing digitally...
i have lately deposited income tax today
and now i m filling itr-1, so i will have to to get a notification from consultants
because i am filling after due date or can i file it withour any error.

i m filling late return after due date that is 31st july2011
then when i fill the data in excel utility under which section
i should file the itr?
The section for revising 139(4) (Volentry after due date).
1. For runnig DSC(degital signature certificate) update ur java.
2. Then log in to Incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
3. Select relevent A.Y. on left side of ur screen.
4. Select Assement here and just below that there is option select yes as I had shown below

5. Now select any of the three options like:
If u have DCS in pfx select first
If u have DSc in token select 2
| Select the type of Digital Certificate |
Sign with .pfx file Sign with your USB token Don't Want to Sign |
6. Select first if u have pfx or select 2 if u have token Type the PAN of person who is siging the file (PAN in dsc and written here must have to be the same)
Now at last : u can see Flast in the pic attached below or it will be blank. if it then u have to update your JAVA again. (Remember: Use internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox only)

After regestring ur DSC log out of site and login again.
Now, as Proceeds up to 5 steps. Then select ur .xml and sign the file by clicking on the box below it. if its signed then upload the return....
