What steps should be taken by the assessee if his income tax refund is delivered at his old address and the Person over there denied accepting the same? Now what steps the assessee should take to get his refund back?

Did the assesee after relocation applied for change of address through form 49A (change of PAN card data ) such that the new address noted in IT dept data base.

address given by the assessee should be changed by applying changes in PAN form...

For future correspondence address given by the assessee should be changed by applying changes in PAN form. But for the current year for which Refund is returned undelivered, Just write a simple plain paper applicaton to concern AO with complete details of New address along with Copy of 49A (along with its acknowledgement) in which changes are applied for.

Alternativly, you can visit the Concern AO personally and ask them for what action to be taken

If u r sure that ur refund is returned from the old address the first login to the incometaxindia.gov.in and check the refund failure service, here uwill be redirected to follow the procedure (you have to download the letter for change in address and then attach a proof for new address and send it, u will receive the R.O. at ur new correct address.

First of all made correction in pan master data and then if you filled your it return on line then please login and then downloads the respose sheet from my return >> cpc refund failure status and downloads response sheet and fill up address as per updated pan database and as mentioned in return and in case of change in bank account please provide micr code of new bank account number and send to address as mentioned in the response sheet. if p

In case of E filed returns...

At this point change of address is entertained only to the PAN address. If the PAN address is different then the assessee needs to update the PAN address and then just call CPC for the refund to be initiatied to the PAN address. Alternatively, if the refund is below 25k then the assessee can opt for ECS. He will need to download and fill the response sheet, attach a cancelled cheque and send both to CPC.

Hi,

I'm a salaried employee, & the PF amount of employer contribution is also being deducted from my salary. Whether the amount deducted from my salary is an allowed deduction or it is chargeable for income tax?

First of all change address in PAN databae.... And if return is e-filled, then go to Income Tax site and get logged in with respective PAn and go to on My Account ---> Response Sheet.

Then download the form and send it to CPC at Banglore..
