Hi Freinds,

Please share your views and suggestions regarding the following 4 papers.

We need to clear the exams this time without fail. Jai Ho...

1) Capital Market Analysis and Corporate laws

2) Financial Management

3) Advanced Financial Accounting

4) Cost Audit and Operational Audit

It is going to benefit most of us. Thanks is advance. Please help!!!

Law n audit were easy... Ac was average... Sfm was very difficult..

i would like to give my views in prepartion for following subjects : -

1) Cost Audit & Operational Audit

Chp -1 Basic of Cost Audit - must through only inst't study material

Chp -2 & 3 Cost Audit Report Rules & Cost Accounting Record Rules - As me refered to "GUIDE TO COST ACCOUNTING RECORD RULES & REPORT RULES" BY TAXMANN because it helps me to know recent changes happen in our profession . If a student doesn't want to purchase the books then he can download the Cost Audit Report & Record Rules from our inst't website in a Gazzetted format .

Chp - 4 Cost Accounting Standards 1 to 14 - from Compedium & new CAS download from inst't Website.

** Imp. Note - student must must refer RTP of Dec 11 & June 12 for solving more & new question on Cost Audit Report Rules & Record Rules & CAS.

Operational Audit - Refer specially Scanner & inst't Study mat

Numerical part - Refer Scanner

Objecive part - Refer Scanner

** Student should do RTP's for new question on related topic.

As i assumed that Every student has a understanding on which topic is most imp. & least imp. do thier studies accordingly . A student should not leave Numerical & Objective part because it is easy to Score & less time consuming for studying .

2) Advanced Financial Accounting

Chp 1 - Introduction to IAS, US GAAP , IND. AS - must through only inst't study material (BECAUSE IT IS THEORY PORTION & SHOULD BE DONE FULLY )

Chp 2 - Prepartion of Company Accounts contents - Merger & Acquistion , Cross holding , Chain Holding , Internal Reconstruction , Reverse Merger , External Reconstruction , Surrender of Share , Demerger , Sale of Division , Buyback & Conversion - inst't material & Compedium(Because in Compedium question covers from Chartered Acctancy syllabus & recently in exams question is asked from it )

Chp 3 - Group Financial Statement - Holding Company & Holding Co. with Cash Flows - same as Chp -2

AS - 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10 - DS Rawat (because it explained in easy language & contain no. of good question & quality example ) must go through this AS because mostly asked in objective & asked for 2-5 marks mostly.

AS - 7, 11,13,15,17,18,24,25 - DS Rawat (same Reason) Question asked for - 7-10 marks

AS - 16,19,20,22,26,28,29, 30, 31 & 32 - most most imp. AS asked surprisingly for any marks & always asked in paper (contain minimum 20-35 marks of total paper)

Chp 4 - Segment Reporting i.e AS - 17 - can go through the inst't material OR D.S. RAWAT(for more Numerical)

Chp 5 - Development in External Reporting contains - value Added, EVA, Human Resources, Environmental Accounting , Guidence Note on Accounting for Tax matters , Derivaitve . - must through only inst't study material

Chp 6 - AS - 12(Goverment Accounting in India) - Inst't material (because it is theory portion)

** IN ACCOUNTS - NO NEED TO GO THROUGH THE SCANNER(if you covered up all mentioned above) BUT ONE SHOULD GO THROUGH RTP'S.

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS MY PERCEPTION FOR PREPARTION FOR SUBJECTS & INDIVIDUALLY IT CAN BE DEVIATE . .. SO DON'T PANIC & JUST THINK FOR SUCCESS & GIVE YOUR BEST SHOT....
