One of the major problem I have faced in CA final till now is to convince myself how to deal with ISCA, because some people around me are taking ISCA too seriously for their future career in such fields (like system audit etc.) some are just mugging it up.
what is the right way ? I am asking whether to consider ISCA seriously for long term perspective or just consider it a subject to mug up

Well, it depends on your preference, if you choose to have a career in the field of systems audit, then you have to understand the concept. In ISCA, for some topics there will be no concept to learn except remembering it. Be wise about your decision, my suggestion is to have indepth knowledge of 1st, 2nd, 6th chapters. Remaining chapters, just try to understand overall content like why the chapter is introduced in CA syllabus, how it is helpful for a CA etc etc...
You can always ask us your doubts regarding the subject, make use of it.

Institutes SM and PM should be sufficient but it is always helpful to have another author for reference in some topics.
