As per the Notification No. KSA/ CR-60/2010-11 of VAT, Karnataka. i understood that E-Filing is Mandatory, but officials in VAT office said even E-payment also compulsory, is there any notification which states E-payment is compulsory??? please provide me a copy of the Notification.
E-Payment is not mandatory.
You may submit Form VAT 100 electornically.
Take a printout of the same which contains Return Reference Number.
Goto LVO, submit the cheque / Cash / DD.
Note : Also ensure that you have uploaded Sales and Purchase details in XML format in the same website.

Though not compulsory, it helps in seeing that the tax is credited correctly into your account and helps in reconciliation with the department.
