I wanted to ask is subleasing valid in India.What are the things i should keep in mind while subleasing.Please let me know.

Subleasing is valid in India. Sub lease is only possible if the Original Lease Deed has provision of sublease.

Important provisions are also included in this Sublease Agreement:

  • Premises and Term of Sublease: Location of premises and term of sublease;
  • Rent Payments: The amount of rent, when it is due, and late payments;
  • Security Deposit: Amount of security deposit and how it will returned;
  • Binding Effect and Additional Provisions: The conditions in the sublease will bind all parties to the sublease and any additional provisions can be added.

hi, i wanted to know where it is written that sublease is valid can anyone please give me the reference and also tell me that whether sublease can be registered? Thanks in advance
