Are practicing Doctors also covered in the Service Tax.....................?
Since they are not covered in negative List and previously they are exempt from ST...........?

yes if an service not covered in negetive list than it is taxable
The amended section has not been notified yet

Ammended section and Negative list is not notified yet and most probably this will be notify from/on 1st jusly, 2012. If this is notified then practicing doctors will be liable to collect and pay service tax (considering basic exemption)
