Is my refund now just a few days away?

10 days to 30-40 days, anytime.

Out of academic interest I am requesting you to please confirm the date of refund received after credit to your bank account.

I will certainly update here. Generally in past years I got it in 10 days of receiving intimation. Once it took nearly 1.5 Months.  But for the first time I am checking the step by step status on NSDL and hence a bit curious.

As of now the status is still submitted to bank as of 31 Aug.

Also the IT helpdesk is of no much help. They have no specific timelines defined. All they say is wait for process to get over.

I would be really interested to know the underlying logic applied by IT in processing the refund but seems expect developers of the system no one knows it!

You will get refund within 48 hours from now on. (provided account validated in IT)

You are right. I also got the refund in 10 days last year. This year I got on 32nd day from the date of intimation Some friends got it in 15 days. Incidentally My wife's return ( No complication at all, only interest income) is yet to be processed after e-verification- Today is 43rd day! We both had filed on same day and I got intimation on 3rd day! So each case is unique.

refund got credited today. 14 days after date of intimation.

As someone wanted here's my past data on num of days after intimation for getting refund. I am not a statistician but I guess it's all random.

Now I have filled my 15G for current year!
