Is medical reimbursement is taxable income. ?
I am chand basha govt.teacher, Andhra pradesh. Should I show medical reimbursement in income tax, how much deduction allowed.? please clarify any one...

As per an amendment in the Budget 2018, tax exemption on medical reimbursement amounting to Rs 15,000
As a salaried individual u dont have this deduction. Hence in the budget provide u t Rs.40000 as standard deduction which includes medical reimbursement also.
no specific deduction is allwed for medical reimburesement according it will be taxable. you can claim the total deduction of rs 40K available to individuals staright away now.
