Is it required to file itr when company has struck off?

ITR Filing 808 views 2 replies

The company was in operations up until March 2010. And then from April 2010 to March 2011 there was no activity in the company. On December 2010 we had applied for the company to be struck off which finally got approved in September 2011.

So the question is whether we need to file income tax returns for the period of April 2010 to March 2011 even though the company had no activity and now that the status of the company is struck off.

Yes you will have to file a NIL return atleast if there was no activity. Infact you will have to file the return for the period April 11 to  Sep 11 next year since the company was not shut down.
