I gave cpt dec 08....some or confusing by saying its not compulsory to opt ipcc...but according to the draft
hosted in icai website clearly tells its compulsory for dec 08 cpt students to opt ipcc
Is IPCC registrn compulsory for dec 08 cpt passers...or is there any option for us to switch PCC
It is optional for the students who wrote CPT exam in this December 2008 to join IPCC
The following are the options available for a student who is going to complete his CPT exam this December 2008.
Option 1: IF you want to join PCC, you can register for your articles on or before April 30 to get you PCC attempt in November 2010.
Option 2: You can register after 30th April and before June 30 2009 to get your attempt for PCC in May 2011.
Option 3: Register your self for IPCC on or before Jan 31st to write IPCC exam in the month of November 2009.
Option 4: You can register for IPCC even after Jan 31st, but your attempt will be delayed by 6 months i.e you will get your attempt in May 2010.

If u not yet regiseterd for PCC then you can for IPCC by nov 09 exam.But you havent joined for articles ha, IPCC is good one form icai. so will get full knowledge before entering to articles comparing to cpt people..cpt people will not be having much knowledge comparing to IPCC they advanced subjects. You will be having tax subject and it will be easy to cope up for your articles..think and make ur decision its differ people to people so pls make your own decision..Its my suggestions..all the best
