Is interest on housing loan allowed in house property

House purchased on wife's name and loan taken for purchase purpose so the question is that if house purchase on wife's name and loan agreement is also on wife's name and co oblidge is her husband  and loan installment paid by her husband from his salary then is it  interest on housing loan allow to wife under sec. 24 of income from house property.
