Is idt self study possible?

Guys, I just wanted some help whether IDT CA Final is possible to do a Self Study. I mean if you look at the IPCC level, very minimal knowledge was tested. However, Final looks completely different and new. So is it possible to do a Self Study of IDT or some kind of coaching is required. If self study is possible, what would be the best books to refer for self study?

I did self study for CA final including IDT too. I referred Bangar and Practice Manual.

Hmmm you can self study idt from bangar. Its quite managable. But you need to have patience. Excise n customs will be a completely new stuff to you. Initially you may find it difficult to understand few topics in excise but subsequent readings after the first reading of entire excise will make you comfortable with the subject. Good Luck.

Cool thanks everyone.. N Ashish i believe u have ur results tomo... Good luck mate :) But this Bangar book dont you think its like some Question Bank.. I mean i just happend to see that book and saw everything was in Q&A form... Is every aspect of ICAI Mat covered?? And also should i refer ICAI Mat again if i have referred Bangar?? Plz do help me with this... Really not sure how to go about with it...

Thanks Mohit for your wishes. Yes even I had the same apprehension about the Bangar sirs book but it will surely help you clearing all the concepts. Yes they are in question answer form but everything is given very sequentially. One more thing i must inform you about this Bangar Sir s book. See till last edition this book had 3 authors but now one of the author i.e Mr.Vineet Sodhani has resigned from the Bangar team and has published his book seperately. I dont know how is his book but you may have a look and choose the best one.
