is earnings before tax accountingly same as profit before tax??

also, is EBIT = Earnings before Interest and tax, or Earnings before interest , tax AND DEPRECIATION??

Yes EBT and PBT are one and the same thing.

EBIT stands for Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBITDA is Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation).

EBT minus Loss b/f =PBT

PBT minus Loss c/f = Taxable Profit.

(Ref as per Dr.Srinivasan Sunderesan book, Long Term Investments)  I would request comments.
