I want to know, whether articleship is counted or taken as job experience or not, if a CA Final student, who has completed his articleship, goes for doing a job first time with his studies?Will he get any benefit of doing the GMCS training in getting his job ?Please let me know about it.Thanks and Regards.

It's so sad.Can we quote articleship not as job experience but as work experience in CV while searching for job?Will it be favourable for a CA PE-II pass candidate to show himself higher level than a Fresh B.Com. or M.Com.?If Not,than what about the return of his efforts and hard work which he did for passing his PE-II level exam?Please tell me.

You can show it as work experience. It will have higher level than a fresh B.com or M.com.
Dear Jagruthi, though in a fresher's interview, it will not be considered, u can certainly use the experience gained to highlight your potential.
You could put on the resume details like clients woorked for, nature of assignments, diversity of work handled etc.
There is ample experience gained in 3.5 years, actually more than working same period in an organisation.

i am want to taken secondment because i want to doing work of Finance & Taxation and In our present office only Audit work.
My Remaining Articleship is 11months...
Pls. suggest me that i pressure upon my present principal to take Secondment..

hi.rohit..I hav also thinked abt secondment.....but same as of time remain of me also..but after i reached to one decision that if i taken secondment then how his behaviour of my new principal wheather he will giv me leave for exam that i expect ??? then after i decided no to scondment....

Frndss,, don't you think articleship should be counted as experience....... Our institute should take action regarding this... if after doing hardwork and doing al job in a chartered accountant office for three years,,, if we are again a fresher with no experience which can be counted for job then why we are doing articleship??? For jobs qualification prescribed is like post CA inter experience or Post CA experinc.........Why like that??? when we already have 3 years of experience in hand.......

but practically, work experience is definitely counted...
So just dnt worry... experience always gvs +ve output...

Articleship is not counted as Job Experiece while preparing your CV (pun intended). i say so because it certainly shows out during the interview.Articleship is never a waste of time. What all uve learnt during articleship shows out at the time of the interview. It boosts your confidence and yes the interviewer can actually make out.
Though it cannot be counted as Job experience in many organisations, you can emphasis the same and show your work experience as mentioned by other members as above. If I am talking about me, My CV also does impact for my articleship experiences.. Ya same will not be considered and you will be considered fresher only if u hv this experience only.
seed if sowed and taken proper care will definitely give a plant then tree then fruits. even then icai need to release a provision regarding it. it is possible if many of the students ask about it to the board.
