As Law is a subject that keeps getting updated with the times, especially Company Law, it would be ideal if you invested in a new book.
It is always safer.
To answer your question for applicable provisions:
On ICAI:
Regarding November 2015 examinations, students may note that those sections of the Companies Act, 2013, notified on or after 1st October, 2014 till 31st March, 2015, shall also be applicable and students would be informed about the developments through supplementary study paper/ Revisionary test paper for the said examination:
