I am about to appear for my b.com 6th semester exams and I want to know the criteria for converting into direct entry scheme from IPCC. Also how many marks I need in B.com to convert into Direct Entry. When will I be able to start my internship and will I be allowed to appear for november 2017 exams?
No, if I convert to direct entry then ill be able to start the articleship right after completing ITT and OP. Also, i guess ill be able to appear for the Nov 17 exams since there is a relaxation by icai regarding the completion of 9months of training before appearing for exams, for students who converted from IPCC. All I wanted to know is that I have 58% average in b.com, will I be able to convert into direct entry. Also, can I file the application form right now? I am yet to appear for my last semester exams.
Hi Divyansh. You will require a minimum of 55% in AGGREGATE. So the steps would be as follows:
1) Wait for the result.
2) Once you have the marksheet in your hand, see if you are getting an aggregate of 55%.
3) Complete the registration.
4) Complete your ITT & OT course.
5) Once you have the certificate of both the courses, you can apply for your articleship.
6) You need to complete 9 months of articleship before being eligible for an attempt.
So as per my calculations, you will be straight away eligible for a May 2018 attempt but it would be a close call. Do let me know if you need some help. I am not a regular on CCI. So you may message me on the following if need be:
