Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the correct date for recording purchase invoices in your accounting books. The consensus is to use the invoice date, not the date you physically receive it. This applies to both invoices for goods and services and ensures easier reconciliation with systems like GSTR 2A.
Both in case of Goods & service Invoice you have to book the entry as per date of Invoice in Books of Accounts ,not when you received Invoice in your company or department . ( Date mentioned on the invoice ) .
