Trade investments are investments were made under the process of business activities. Like Sinking fund Investments.

Non trade Investments are investments made out of surplus cash. these are not part of effective utilisations of capital. generally capitals are brought in for trading purpose. 

no relevance with NOn current investments. Non current investment are considered based on future holding period. if we are assumed to hoid for another one year, it can be non current investments. weather it is trade or non trade investments.
