Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether income from investments, such as fixed payments from a firm, can be declared under the presumptive taxation scheme (Section 44AD). The consensus is that Section 44AD is specifically for eligible business income, not investment income. Attempting to classify an investment as a 'business' for this purpose is generally not permitted.

No. sec. 44AD of the act, is for eligible business income.

What if we specify the nature of business as investment business? Is that allowed?

There is either Business or Investment; nothing like Business investment........

It is not business at all......... one can still consider it as Investment with SWP.

Got it sir.Thank you very much sir for the advice.

You are welcome..
