Investment banking & equity research - courses & job

hi Lokesh,

                  even i m facing d same problem......i wanted to join IB & Equity wing but i have recently joined textile industry....today i was searching for the same thing and i found a course of 10 weeks staring from 29th oct in Mumbai at School of investment banking institute....i dont know whether it is nice or not, i m clueless about the institute...have read about its aliumni which is impressive...i m tring there lets see ...

Now depending on what sort of time frame you're running for you can either go the long route or the more short term route.

I would suggest IIM Skills' Investment Banking Course, which I have only heard good things about . A friend of mine enrolled not  too long back and he was all praises for the course + faculty. And He benefited a lot from their in house internship which in turn gave him a shot at the Investment banking field since his CV had practical experience to show his worth ! Cheers! 

I completely understand your situation; many CAs are in the same boat and aspire to get into IB or equity research. Start with CFA or financial modeling courses; with consistency and appropriate exposure, a transition into the role you wish to get into is definitely possible.
