Intimation U/s 143(1)/154 AY21-22 Outstanding demand

Hi Forum,

I have a query regarding the demand Intimation I have received u/s 143

I was suggested by employer to file an ITR 2 .

for AY21-22 , CPC has raised a demand of 89000 rs
i was in USA for short term and returned in june 2020 (hence 3 months of us income and 3 months of indian income)
and got double taxed and relief was not considered while calculating the demand .I have uploaded form 67 as well. i have paid RS 2,12,220 outside india and have paid TDS of 1,17,655 where the demand outstanding 89,116 inclusive of interest accumulated RS17268.
1st I tried rectification and that was rejected instantly  Then i tried reprocessing but tax relief was not considered u/s 89 , 90/90A and 91  (though they mention that its provided by taxpayer ) but not considered as computed in order u/s 154 (Rupee 0, Rupee 0, Rupee 0)

1. Can you please suggest what should be my next steps?
2. how can i rectify OR appeal to assessing officer as sec 89 or 90/90A is not considered.
3. can I get the original ITR2 filing rejected and re file ITR 2 ?

1. You must have done any mistake in filing Form 67, therefore, correct that mistake and file ITR rectification. The tax credit will be allowed to you by the department.

2. You can appeal to CIT (A) against the intimation, however, it is not advisable. Follow the above procedure, and the credit will be given to you.

3. No. ITR filed earlier cannot be rejected. You can only rectify the return.

thanks for the reply
I have tried rectification but it got rejected within seconds(looks like an automated process).

I'm trying to get tax relief u/s 90/90A  and not 89, hence as I removed the amount , could that be cause of rejection ?

Could you please suggest the way for me to rectify and adjust this amount?

kind Regards
