Dear sir,

Today i recvd an INTIMATION OF OUTSTANDING DEMAND (Attached)

I have a few Doubts

1. There is no section number mentioned

2. No details are provided like you have made a payment & this much tds has been dedctued & not deposited

3. I called ITR Helpline but they told the notice is sent VIA local office so no provision to reply online

4. When i looged in my Account i do not see any INTIMATION OF DEMAND

I hope some body will help me & Pls guide Furthere what should be DONE

The demand is over your TDS deduction which may not have beed deposited, as per their records/ complaint received from deductee...

So, get information from the local TDS officer, before any further action.

My opinion to you is to, analyse the each year ITRs and correspondance received with regard to that. On analysis of records you may found the reason for the outstanding demands. The amount shown in this intimation may include interest also, so try to find through the old papers.

Depending on the findings, take the necessary action.
