but demand has been raised us 234b and 4 for Rs.9192 and 5803.

if tax liability is nil then how come interest for late payment arises? notice details attached pls advise

Yes, department got TDS in current year, but you have claimed it for preceding year/s!!

Sir,

There is no tax paid. still interest appklicable?

is it need to pay or can be rectified?

You need to pay interest, no excuse.

The TDS was paid late, which was tax claimed by you !!!

Sir,

There is not tax paid either by tds or self assmnt tax.

tax payable is zero after releif claim.

The point which I wish to convey is there is gross tax liability of Rs, 114987/-, which is claimed as relief in preceding years, and hence it gets nullified. But computer adds interest from the date of nullification of the tax in that year to present date.

Have you filed Form 10E to claim relief under section 89(1) ?? May call me - CA umesh kumar- 9717597230

"computer adds interest from the date of nullification of the tax in that year to present date." means .. is this system error or is that the rule ?

To claim relief under section 89(1) one additional online form (Form 10E) is also to be filed. have you filed???
