Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the taxability of interest earned on Non-Resident External (NRE) accounts for individuals who are residents but not ordinarily resident (RNOR) in India for FY2022-23. The consensus is that interest on NRE accounts is generally exempt from tax for both NRIs and RNORs under Section 10(4)(ii). However, it's important to note that interest earned on Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) accounts is taxable.

It is not taxable to NRI & RNOR.

Amt received OR Interest in NRE AC for ROR and RNOR will be except as per section 10(4)(ii)

But interest recieved in NRO Ac is taxable
