One of my Friends has NOT filed any GST Return since MARCH 2020..
Is there any chance that Interest & Penalty would be waived off, for Late filing..
GST Amnesty Scheme is over on 30th September 2020. The Government gave a lot of opportunities to the taxpayers to clear all their backlogs in GST Returns by partial as well as full waiver of Late Fees, Interest, Penalty etc.
So if your fried wants to file now, then Late Fees U/s 47, Interest U/s 50 of the CGST Act 2017 will be levied.
