Interest from Super Annuition Fund

137 views 1 replies

I was employed in Tata Projects. I resigned before my scheduled retirement. On resignation, I commuted one third of the Super Annution Fund corpus (in LIC) that the company had contributed over the years as annual contribution. I have not worked in any other company since then. I now receive interest from LIC aginst the SU fund (balance two third of the corpus).

Q.1. Should this interest income be a part of Salary or where else

Q.2. If it is to be declared as a part of salary, then what will be my employers name? Will it be Tata Projects where I am not working now or will it be LIC though it is not my employer?

Q.3. Is this interest income taxabale?

Replies (1)
