Income tax tax exemption

i incurred substantial expenditure on dental treatment invoving extractionof teeth, ,root cnal . treatment , fixing of crowns as ,my teeth got infection of bridges/crowns which costed morethan a lakh of rupees. Does this amount qualify for deduction from my taxable income under relevant section ?

No exemption for such medical treatment, except for health check up ..... max. upto Rs. 5,000/- u/s. 80D.

SEC 80D Provides that deduction to the extent of Rs. 5000 shall be allowed in respect payment made on account of preventive health check-up of self, spouse, dependent children or parents. So, no deduction will be allowed in your case.
