Sir, i would like to inform you that it is not necessary that you show your current year's income higher than previous year. It is your duty to show true and correct income and pay tax on it and A.O's duty is to verify the particulars of income filed by you. For the purpose of supporting your claims you must keep proper evidences relating to same. So don't get worried about the possible scrutiny assessment if you have proper evidences to support your claim. If tds has been deducted on your pension income it will be reflected in 26AS so no need of additional evidence. For part time lecturer fees received by you in previous year, you can take a letter in writing from that institute for the fact that you have been appointed as part time lecturer in previous year but not for the current year.

Your return will not be scrutinised.

Why can you tell the reason?

Dear Sir,

The search criteria as you mentioned for selection of Scrutiny is normally for Business Enterprises & not for the Salaried/Pensioners. Therefore you need not to worry.
