Income tax return has been selected under risk management process

@ Sheena have raised e nivaran recently? I have raised and today I got below mentioned reply Resolution: Dear Taxpayer,The processing of your Return(ITR) is pending for want of verification of the correctness of certain claims made by taxpayer in the ITR. This is likely to take few months depending on the swiftness & accuracy of taxpayer response. Taxpayer may receive further communication from the Department seeking responses to specific claims made by taxpayer in the ITR which have been identified for further verification. Please do respond with the information sought, at the earliest, as the refund will be generated only once the processing of the ITR is completed.

No I did not receive any such responses

What are all the claims made by you?

@ Saif did you receive any mails from the dept

I guess now they are even harassing the salaried persons!

How much is your refund Saif.......

Saif Did you check your account in work list and see if they have updated anything on that and kindly check for the tax credit mismatch also. I have never seen dept hunting salaried people like this for a long time.....

@ saif my friend also received it, the dept is starting faceless scrutiny from oct 8 and I guess 400000 returns were selected for testing. God only should help us in this regard

@ sheena, there is no updated work list ... Except previous years Risk management response list

Sure Saif , I have already raised my grievance. I guess they are behind last year risk management selected group

Hope there is nothing harmful coming for us the small taxpayers group

@ saif what is your refund amount and what claims you have made

I have never seen dept running behind the salaried people like this before......they will give corporate tax cuts and try to steal from small taxpayers
