Hello folks,

I need assistance with regards to income tax refund. For AY 2021-22 refund has been received partially due to adjustment of previous assessment demand but for that demand already paid via challan but could not submit due to technical error on the portal stating "any open challan with such details is not available in the database for this assessment year". After that filed the rectifiction of return u/s 154 with re-process the return but this time in rectifiction order dated 05th Jan 2022 full amount of refund is showing and stating that refund has been paid but actually it hasn't been received. Also communicated the same to AO but he is stating that CPC will do the needful.

Kindly let me know your valuable suggestion and assistance.

CPC is responsible for processing rectification and sending refund..

Check tax refund status from tin nsdl and find out whether second refund is processed
