I filed my ITR for AY 2024-25 on July 31st, but it was not verified. On August 29th, I verified it and immediately filed a revised return, which I also verified within 5 minutes.
However, the Income Tax Department has processed the refund based on the original return instead of the revised one. As a result, I received a higher refund than I should have.
What is the process to get this corrected?
