Income tax refund in prevalidated bank account only?

Shall i receive Income tax refund if i have not prevalidated my bank account on income tax portal for a.y.2020-21.

No, prevalidation of bank account is must for refund.

Pre-validation is additional safety feature for refund issued by CPC. is it mandatory ? I don't think so.

No, it is not necessary for Prevalidation of Bank account. You have to mention details of the bank account in which you want to receive refund. Prevalidation is just a safety measure.
