Income tax on pf interest of retired employees

I know interest on recognized PF is exempt. However, even after retirement, few employees did not withdraw their PF amount and earn interest for next three years. Whether interest in those three years after retirement is also exempt or not?

Yes it is exempt, being in employment is not an condition for interest exemption .
